Honda's Surprising Take on Electric Vehicles

Perhaps I'm the only one that's surprised, but I thought this was pretty interesting. Basically, Honda doesn't think the time for electric vehicles is here.
They think the limited range issues and still significant recharging times are obstacles that are large enough that they're not moving forward with a major electric vehicle effort at this time. It's surprising to me simply because when I think of fuel-efficient cars, Honda is one of the first companies I think of.
